The Levis Motorcycle Club has been part of the fabric of motorcycling in South Australia since 1922. The Club is the oldest in the State and takes its name from the Levis two stroke motorcycle.
The Levis MCC is a family centred club with a strong focus on off-road solos and sidecars and Levis Members are very active in all areas of our sport.
The Club is an active affiliate of Motorcycling SA (MSA) with Club Members serving on several Committees or as Officials at various events. The Levis Motorcycle Club, with the Atujara Motorcycle Club and MSA are actively involved in the operations of the Acusa Park off-road motorcycle ride park at Harrogate in the Adelaide Hills.
Acusa Park Members Only and Public Ride Days, are an important part of the Club’s calendar. The Ride Days provide a safe, family friendly environment where newcomers of all ages are nurtured into the sport. Coaching opportunities and dedicated riding areas for different classes of riders cater for all skill levels from the beginner right through to the advanced off-road rider.
Many Club Members compete in rounds of the South Australian Road Trials Championships (SARTC), which includes events such as the daunting 24-Hour Reliability Trial. The Club organises and runs its own round of the SARTC (The Theo Nixon Trial) and actively supports other clubs in running their events. The Club runs a Control (check point) at every round of the SARTC and many Club Members give their time as Officials and Course Marshals.
The Club also hosts a round of the SA Dirt Track Titles at Acusa Park and is involved in interclub events with other clubs.
Vintage Motocross riders are also catered for with the Club running the SA Historic Scrambles Championships at Acusa Park. The event is generally run in October in conjunction with a round of the ASA Sidecar Championships.
But it’s not all work…
The Club also organises a number of social road trips (both bitumen and dirt) throughout the year.
The Levis Motorcycle Club is a strong Club with a very active membership.
Monthly meetings are held from 7:30 p.m. at the Enfield RSL, 1 Fitzgerald Ave, Enfield, on the second Tuesday of the month.
