New track schedule for Ride Days at ACUSA Park

Starting on 19/08/2007 there will be a new track schedule at the ACUSA Park ride days to better cater for juniors. This means the the juniors will be split into 2 groups , advanced and beginners. This change should allow beginner juniors to develop at their own pace, without any pressure from faster, more experienced juniors.  FOR 2010 DATES SEE LATEST NEWS

Minor changes to senior scheduling will also need take effect to accommodate the juniors. For more info please contact a Ride Day organiser.

A Levis MCC  marshall supervising junior dirt trackers at a Ride Day. This dirt track, otherwise known as a 'flat track' is an ideal introdution to a race track for a junior rider. Ideally the junior would have received some coaching before riding on this track and then with the permission of a parent is permitted to do a few laps at their own pace. It is important that the rider has been taught the proper proceedure for entering and exiting a track in the safest possible way.

Ride Days

The Levis MCC is looking forward to another successful season of ride days at ACUSA Park.

As the image below shows, the park has greened up nicely and  has responded well to the huge efforts put in in recent working bees.

Riders trying out one of our motocross tracks. There are 2 Moto X tracks, one is natural terrain, the other has easily negotiated jumps and tabletops. Also available is the Dirt Track (flat track). These 3 tracks are rostered according to the group a rider is in (beginner senior, advance senior, beginner junior and advanced junior). Each group is rostered on each track for a period of time each hour.

The Enduro Loop, approximately 6 kms, is open to all riders all day. It has a combination of fast and tight sections. There are some challenging hill climbs that can be bypassed by the novice riders. Juniors must have their parents permission to ride the Enduro Loop and can only do so under supervision.

All tracks have allocated 'roaming' Ride Day Marshalls to control traffic and monitor regulated use of the courses. All riders on the Enduro Loop must stay on the marked course and comply with Ride Day Marshalls directions for their own safety.

Riders relaxing around our canteen. No need to bring your own food, our caterers have everything from delicious bacon and egg sandwiches for breakfast to steak sandwiches, hamburgers and hot dogs etc.for lunch.

Also available are a great selection of drinks plus snacks and treats for the kids. Tea and coffee on hand for the parents also.

Gil Harris is an Accredited Motorcycling Australia Coach and is often available on site for coaching both juniors and seniors.

There is more to coaching than riding techniques, each rider has the opportunity to learn all the different track entry and exit proceedures, race starts, bike set up and maintenance and much more. Use the experience of the Coach and Club riders to your advantage. They are more than happy to answer your questions.
